(1) The first multi axis UAV uses Hydrogen fuel powered lithium batteries

In May 2015, Singapore's HUS Company developed the world's first multi axis UAV HYCOPTER using Hydrogen fuel powered lithium batteries. It can fly continuously for 4 hours under no-load conditions, and can support 150 minutes even under 1Kg full load conditions, far exceeding the endurance of the lithium ion battery UAV.

Due to the use of Hydrogen fuel powered lithium batteries, the structure of the helicopter is also different from other UAVs. In addition to lithium polymer hydrogen batteries, HYCOPTER also has two tubular containers that can store 4L of hydrogen gas. During operation, temporary hydrogen is injected into the Hydrogen fuel power lithium battery. After a chemical reaction, electricity appears to drive an electric motor with several rotors. The HYCOPTER filled with hydrogen gas is suitable for a 3Kg lithium-ion battery in terms of battery capacity. Unfortunately, HYCOPTER is still in development and has just undergone testing.
