At 10:15 am local time on July 30th, the TSLAMegapack energy storage system located in Victoria, Australia exploded, with open flames and smoke at the scene.

The facility involved a 13 ton lithium battery, which is part of the "Victorian Big Battery" project jointly developed by French renewable energy company Neoen and TSLA.

The goal of the 'Victoria Battery' project is to achieve 50% of Victoria's electricity from renewable sources by 2030.

Unfortunately, the fire broke out shortly after Neoen submitted a registration application to the Australian authorities and is currently undergoing official inspection.

However, Neoen Australia stated that the fire did not cause any casualties and stated that the fire facility was undergoing preliminary testing at the time.
