01. CATL takes the lead in releasing Weilai's upcoming loading

As the name suggests, a mixed battery is a battery pack consisting of at least two different types of cells.

At present, multiple domestic enterprises have started research and development. On July 29 this year, CATL officially launched the sodium battery, and also launched the AB battery program.

The solution of CATL is to mix and match lithium ion batteries and Sodium-ion battery in a certain proportion and put them into the same battery system to form a "sandwich battery". Then, the BMS algorithm is used to control different battery systems in a balanced way, which solves the problem of the energy density of Sodium-ion battery at this stage, and gives play to its advantages of high power and low temperature performance.

However, the products of CATL have not yet reached the mass production stage, while Weilai has directly brought this battery to reality.

On September 23, Weilai officially released the ternary lithium iron standard battery pack, which is also a mixed battery. Weilai has mixed the ternary lithium battery cell and Iron(III) phosphate lithium battery cell.

According to the official information, the ternary lithium iron battery of Weilai is still dominated by Iron(III) phosphate lithium battery cells, and only six ternary lithium iron battery cells are placed around the battery pack.

The capacity of the entire battery pack is 75kWh, which can increase the range by 35 kilometers compared to the original 70kWh ternary lithium battery pack, but there is no change in the price.
