In Europe, there is a shortage of power lithium batteries and materials in the lithium battery industry chain, but this situation is quietly changing.

Recently, foreign media reported that Johnson Matthey, a British chemical company, received 90 million euros (about 730 million yuan) from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and 45 million euros (about 370 million yuan) from the KfW.

It is understood that Johnson Matthey will use this fund (730 million yuan+370 million yuan=1.1 billion yuan) to build a cathode material factory in Corning, Poland, which will be the world's first production base of Johnson Matthey enhanced lithium nickel oxide (eLNO), with an annual output of 10000 tons.

The factory is planned to be put into operation in 2022, and there is a possibility of additional investment in the later stage to increase production by 10 times, in order to reach an annual production capacity of 100000 tons.
