A study published in the latest issue of the American energy academic journal "Joule" shows that the new battery developed by Xia Yongyao's team at Fudan University in China uses ethyl acetate, which has a low freezing point and can conduct electricity under extreme low temperature conditions, as the electrolyte, and uses two organic compounds as the electrodes, namely pTpAn cathode and pNTCDA anode.
