Ningde Times first launched the first generation CTP (CellToPack) battery integration technology for passenger cars in 2019. According to Xiang Yanhuo, Ningde Times is currently developing a second generation platform based CTP battery system, which is planned to be launched on the market from 2022 to 2023. In the future, a third generation series of CTP battery system platforms will be launched for all series of models from A00 to D levels.

In order to further reduce costs, improve battery life, optimize user experience, and reduce energy consumption, Ningde Times will also accelerate research on CTC (Cell To Chassis, which integrates battery cells into the chassis) technology. Ningde Times plans to launch the fourth generation highly integrated CTC battery system around 2025; in the longer term, Ningde Times is expected to upgrade to the fifth generation intelligent CTC electric chassis system around 2028. In fact, from the perspective of the iterative upgrade direction of the battery chemical material system in Ningde Times, it is basically consistent with the overall research trend in the industry. The next five to ten years will still be a critical period for rapid replacement and innovation of the battery chemical material system. With the continuous maturity of battery chemical material system, system integration and other technologies, the time for lithium-ion batteries to replace fuel and promote large-scale electrification of automobiles in the future will also come as scheduled.
