In response to the current performance requirements for power lithium batteries in new energy vehicles and energy storage systems, Wang Zidong believes that new ways should be found in safety, reliability, stability, energy density, wide temperature window applications, charging acceptance capacity, cost and resources, and breakthroughs should be made in materials, battery structure, production process, and integration methods.

Wang Zidong stated that to solve the integration design problem of power lithium battery systems and electric vehicles, the design of battery packs and modules should be comprehensively considered, not just a single product can be integrated: to solve the weight energy density, volume energy density, charging acceptance capacity, discharge capacity, safety, high-temperature adaptability, low-temperature adaptability, cycle life, shelving life, production efficiency of power lithium battery systems The balance of basic performance levels such as maintenance convenience, recycling convenience, and cost acceptance.

In terms of battery maintenance, Wang Zidong stated that power lithium batteries need to be maintained, but currently many companies do not reserve maintenance interfaces for their battery packs, making this effective repair method difficult to popularize. We need to improve from two aspects: firstly, the support of industry regulatory departments in formulating corresponding standards and policies; The second is to reserve maintenance interfaces on the battery pack system to improve maintenance efficiency.

From the perspective of product quality assurance, the supply chain should be led by the entire vehicle company. Firstly, it can make the battery and the entire vehicle better; Secondly, in the long run, self built batteries are more conducive to product quality control than collaborating with battery suppliers.

Finally, Prince Dong stated that the safety of power lithium-ion batteries should be given top priority, and reliability should be emphasized. On the premise of ensuring safety and reliability, the energy density of power lithium-ion battery systems should be improved. Pay attention to system optimization and choose the most suitable design method. Strengthen research on the recycling technology of power lithium batteries, and search for low energy consumption and pollution-free recycling methods; Research material repair technology to improve material utilization.
