Breaking the game with core technology?

In fact, the delivery ability of the new car making forces will cause widespread doubts from the outside world, which is related to the complexity of car production and the car making conditions of the new car making forces themselves.

From the perspective of traditional automobile enterprises, the cycle of a new car from R&D to listing is generally about 48 months, and the complexity of the process and technology is far beyond the imagination of the outside world, while the new forces of car building are generally from scratch, and need to face various problems that have not been encountered before.

At present, few new car manufacturing enterprises have independent production qualification, and even fewer have independent production factories. New car manufacturing forces without qualification mainly solve production and mass production delivery through OEM of traditional car enterprises. For example, previously, Weilai reached an agreement with JAC Automobile, which is mainly responsible for the mass production of OEM ES8; Xiaopeng Automobile and Haima Automobile completed the OEM production of 1.0 mass production models.

According to the analysis in the industry, the OEM model has solved the production problems of new car manufacturers to some extent, and its products can quickly enter the market, but this model also has shortcomings. For example, the new car manufacturing forces are not only limited by the cooperative manufacturers in terms of production capacity, but also may not be able to guarantee the product quality 100%.

Before Weilai Automobile realized mass production and delivery, there was a rumor in the industry that "Weilai delayed delivery mainly because the production capacity of JAC OEM was not available". Although Weilai Automobile did not confirm this statement, the rumor would have an impact on consumers.

Ye Shengji, secretary-general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, pointed out in an interview with the Daily Economic News that the current development of the automobile industry cannot do without the traditional manufacturing concept, nor can it do without the Internet car making thinking. Only by combining the two can enterprises go further.
