3. High Self Discharge (HSD)

Self discharge refers to the loss of battery power even when not in use. When the loss exceeds a certain amount under specified conditions, this battery will be considered as a high self discharge and become a B-grade or scrapped battery. When HSD is severe, a fully charged battery will soon run out of battery power, even causing the voltage of the battery to become 0V. However, in any case, the voltage cannot be lower than 2.0V. If the voltage is lower than 2.0V, the battery will undergo irreversible chemical reactions, lose the ability to charge and discharge cycles, and the battery will also be scrapped. For battery manufacturers, there are more batteries with high self-discharge, and our qualification rate has decreased. If 5% of batteries have high self-discharge, when the production reaches 40000 units/day, it means that 2000 batteries will be scrapped every day, which means that 140000 yuan will be scrapped. A year, 1.68 million yuan will be scrapped. If used to buy cars, it means that 10 mid range sedans will be scrapped.

4. High Internal Resistance (HighACR)

When batteries are in use, their internal resistance is small and they can discharge large currents, resulting in high battery power; If the internal resistance is high and high current discharge cannot be carried out, the power of the battery will also be relatively low. For example, when the phone battery is running low, you can send and receive text messages, but you cannot make phone calls. Once you make a call, it will turn off. This is because when making a phone call, the power required is greater than that required for sending and receiving text messages.
