2) Honeycomb method

Another route is to visit the senior management of Weilai when I saw it last time on Honeycomb Battery Day. Under the L6 cell of Honeycomb, it is possible to further improve the method of using the long cell to replace the 590 module developed for the Great Wall. As shown in the figure below, the customized cell size of this honeycomb is 575mm in length and 21.5mm in thickness, which is a bit like using 590 cells in a soft package to pack several cells together. The battery method of this honeycomb energy for Great Wall Motors has targeted the endurance target of NEDC for 880km, which is expected to be introduced to the market in the second half of 2021.

3) Overseas soft package method

According to the reports of Korean media, both LGChem and SK started to further increase the length of the flexible lithium battery from 500mm to 1000mm.
