Recently, Norion began to deliver the first AkuPure™ A carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) specifically for lithium batteries. AkuPure meets the ultra-high purity requirements of lithium battery for raw materials (more than 99.5%), and can be used to improve the production process of battery anode coating, and improve battery efficiency by more effectively maintaining and transmitting electric energy.

The launch of AkuPure further broadens the terminal application market of Norion CMC products. CMC is a sustainable derivative polymer derived from cellulose (such as wood or cotton), which is widely used as thickener, binder and rheological modifier in various fields such as mining, pharmaceutical and so on.

Recently, Norion also announced the acquisition of the CMC business of Chubb Group. Larry Ryan stressed that this transaction will greatly expand the scope of Norion's CMC products, highlighting our strategy of investing in attractive rising markets and our commitment to sustainable growth.
