2、 Method/step

1. Take the equipment modified to use No. 5 (AA) battery as an example. The size of No. 5 battery is 14 mm in diameter and 5 cm in length. We should first make a fake battery of No. 5 battery (this can also be replaced by a fake battery matched with lithium iron battery). Find a suitable material. Here, the aluminum rod is sawed short to 47mm and then installed with 14mm gasket and screw to form a dummy battery of conductor.

2. The red light pen uses a 14500 battery and a fake battery. After measurement, the lithium battery has a smaller current and is more durable than the dry battery. It does not need to replace the battery frequently. It doesn't take up space with a 14500 battery.

3. The refractometer originally used three batteries with a rated voltage of 4.5V, so it is more appropriate to choose one 14500 battery (3.7-4.2V)+two dummy batteries. The advantage of using a fake battery is that I can still use the No. 5 battery for emergency when the battery is out of power, but I usually have a lithium battery for emergency.

4. The flash lamp is replaced by lithium battery, which originally uses four AA batteries, so two 14500 batteries should be selected. There is no need to use fake batteries here, and the two electrodes are directly welded together, because the advantages of lithium battery are obvious and the return speed is fast. Recharging the battery with dry battery is slow, and it is not used yet. If the charging time is long, it must be eliminated.

5. The production of the charger can use a universal lithium battery charger (1450018650, etc.). I modified it with a lithium battery charging board and a universal charging seat, because I didn't buy the ready-made materials. In addition, mobile phone boards are all good lithium power supplies, with protective plates to prevent overcharge and over-discharge.

5. Other perpetual calendars, razors, cameras, etc. that can change lithium batteries. Do not change the mouse for a single alarm clock powered by No. 5. It may be damaged due to high voltage.

3、 Precautions

Remember that lithium batteries must use special chargers (limit the voltage of a single cell to 4.2V), and cannot be overcharged or over-discharged (the minimum discharge voltage is 3.7V, which should be charged immediately). Otherwise, the life of lithium batteries will be shortened, and there is even the risk of deflagration when charging at a voltage exceeding 4.2V.
