On September 25, as one of the important contents of the 5th Hi-Tech Expo, the hydrogen industry development forum of the 5th Hi-Tech Expo was held in the data building of the big data industrial park in Xinxiang City. On the same day, the first batch of 115 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles produced by Xinfei Electric Group were officially delivered for use on the same day, marking the beginning of the demonstration application of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in Xinxiang.

As a clean, efficient and diversified energy carrier, hydrogen energy is an important bridge connecting traditional fossil energy and renewable energy. The development and utilization of hydrogen energy is of great significance in promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, helping to achieve the double-carbon goal and ensuring energy security.

The 115 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles delivered for use this time are 15 hydrogen fuel cell sanitation vehicles, waste dump vehicles and 100 hydrogen fuel cell refrigerated vehicles, of which 5 hydrogen fuel cell cleaning vehicles and 10 waste dump vehicles will take the lead in demonstration application in Xinxiang High-tech Zone.

It is reported that Xinxiang City recently issued the Working Method for the Demonstration and Application of Fuel Cell Vehicles in Xinxiang City, which will promote 70 fuel cell vehicles to be put into use this year. By 2025, Xinxiang City plans to promote no less than 500 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles such as sanitation vehicles, trucks and buses. Xinxiang has also built three hydrogen stations, two comprehensive energy stations are under construction, and three comprehensive energy stations are planned to be built.

In addition, in view of the blind area of supervision over the operation of hydrogen stations and vehicles, Xinxiang took the lead in issuing the "Management Measures for the Operation of Hydrogen Stations in Xinxiang City (Trial)" and "Management Measures for the Operation of Fuel Power Cell Vehicles in Xinxiang City (Trial)", which straightened out the management system, standardized the construction of hydrogen stations, the approval process and the operation management standards of fuel power cell vehicles, and guaranteed the safe operation of hydrogen stations and fuel power cell vehicles demonstration applications.

Our city has initially formed an industrial chain from hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and hydrogenation equipment to hydrogen fuel power cells, and is vigorously expanding the scale and commercialization of terminal application scenarios, accelerating the promotion of projects such as Xinfei hydrogen fuel power cell refrigerator car, Xiamen Jinlong new energy vehicle manufacturing, and realizing the development of the entire industrial chain, and creating a hydrogen energy industry highland. The province took the lead in introducing the management measures for the operation of hydrogen refueling stations and fuel cell vehicles, built the province's first hydrogen energy industrial park, and successfully approved the province's first batch of future industrial pilot areas.

Wang Haijiang, academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and professor of the Southern University of Science and Technology, Zhang Cunman, the distinguished professor of Tongji University, the director of the Institute of Fuel Power Cell Hybrid Power, and Wang Haifeng, the chairman of Fengyuan Xinchuang Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. made keynote speeches respectively. Experts, scholars and leaders of well-known companies also exchanged views on how to accelerate the demonstration and application of hydrogen fuel power cells and promote the development of hydrogen energy industry.

Many strategic cooperation agreements were also signed at the forum. Xinxiang High-tech Zone and three companies signed cooperation agreements related to the hydrogen energy industry. Henan Yuhuan, Henan Xinfei Electric Appliance Group Co., Ltd. and Yutong Light Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. signed cooperation agreements on the hydrogen fuel cell refrigerated vehicle project.
