According to the Contract, Yiwei Lithium plans to sign a Joint Venture Agreement and supplementary agreement with Yunnan Enjie New Materials Co., Ltd. on August 2, 2021. The two parties plan to cooperate to establish a joint venture in Jingmen. The joint venture will focus on the manufacturing of lithium battery isolation film and coating film, with an annual output of 1.6 billion square meters of wet base film and coating film that fully matches its output, and will give priority to supplying Yiwei Lithium and its subsidiaries, The total planned investment for the project is 5.2 billion yuan.

Yiwei Lithium stated that this investment is conducive to fully utilizing the resources and advantages of all parties, focusing on the production of low-cost high-quality lithium battery isolation films and coating films, helping the company to stabilize the supply of raw materials, reduce procurement costs, comply with the company's industrial layout and strategic development plan, and contribute to improving the company's core competitiveness and profitability.
