Recently, the official WeChat account of Ningde Times reported that Ningde Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Ningde Times") has signed a power lithium-ion battery cooperation agreement with Volvo Car Group (hereinafter referred to as "Volvo"). Ningde Times has become one of Volvo's global partners in electric vehicle batteries, providing reliable power for its next generation electric vehicle models and polar star models.

According to the agreement, Ningde Times will supply battery modules for all models on Volvo's upcoming car development platform SpA2 and CMA platforms worldwide, involving Volvo and Polestar brands. Ningde Times stated that the order amount is approximately 100 million yuan.

Ningde Times will deploy a local team in Sweden to provide localized services. In addition, Ningde Times will also follow Volvo's sustainable development strategy requirements, use clean energy for battery processing, and track and manage the raw material supply chain to help Volvo improve the efficiency, sustainability, and transparency of the overall supply chain. According to the plan, Ningde Times' overseas factory will meet some of the production requirements of this order.

According to Economic Observer Network, as of now, Ningde Times has signed cooperation agreements with commercial passenger car companies such as Jinlong, Yutong, Jiangling, and Haige, as well as passenger car companies such as Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz, BMW, SAIC, Dongfeng, Chang'an, BAIC, Geely, GAC, Chery, and new car companies such as NIO, Aichi, Bayern, Dianka, Yundu, and Weima. Among them, eight car companies including SAIC, Dongfeng, GAC, FAW, and Geely have established joint ventures with Ningde Times. With the addition of Volvo, the number of car companies that have reached cooperation with Ningde Times has exceeded 20.
