Charging should be done in a timely manner

1. The battery is usually in a half charged state when it leaves the factory. When riding for the first time, it is best to fully charge the battery. On the one hand, self discharge will reduce the amount of charge in the lithium battery, and on the other hand, it can activate the active substances inside.

2. Do not deplete the battery every time you ride, as long-term over discharge can reduce the battery life by three times. When there is a low battery prompt during the operation of an electric forklift, stop driving decisively.

Charging time

1. lithium batteries are effective at all times when charged, even if there is still 50% charge before charging. This is because, unlike nickel hydrogen batteries, which have a memory effect, lithium batteries do not. However, it should be noted that lithium batteries cannot be over discharged, as over discharge can cause irreversible capacity loss. When the machine reminds that the battery is low, it should start charging immediately.

2. Never overcharge. When the charging indicator light is on, stop charging. If the battery is not used for a long time, it should be taken out of the instrument and stored in a dry and cool place. It should be charged once within 60-90 days to avoid excessive storage time and irreversible capacity loss caused by self discharge of the battery. The best storage state for lithium batteries is half electric storage.

Charging to compensate for self discharge

We know that the maximum voltage of lithium batteries is 4.2V, so it is best to store voltage between 3.8V and 3.9V, at which point the capacity is basically half.

Using the original charger

Try to use the original lithium battery charger for charging. The original charger has strong performance and moderate charging rate. There are some fast charging stations now, so it is recommended not to use them too much. It is understandable to use them once or twice a year. Excessive current charging can also cause significant damage to the internal structure of the battery.

Storage temperature environment

The temperature environment is relatively wide, ranging from -20 ℃ to 55 ℃, but in fact, the most suitable temperature is room temperature. From the perspective of aging, temperature may be the main reason for the gradual decline of lithium battery capacity.

Strictly follow the precautions in the manual

When lithium batteries are idle, they should be placed in a cool and ventilated place to avoid high temperatures and humidity. Riding should be avoided as much as possible on rainy days, and even when driving, protection should be taken to prevent lithium batteries from getting wet. Do not tap, puncture, step on, modify, or expose the battery to sunlight. Do not place the battery in microwave, high-voltage, or other environments.
