In February 2018, battery company Honeycomb Energy independently operated from the Great Wall system and began to plan a grand plan of "going public on the Science and Technology Innovation Board in 2022, producing 100Gwh in 2025, and establishing itself in the top three globally in the future". It has now sent samples for evaluation to multiple car companies, including first-class multinational car companies such as BMW and Daimler.

On the other hand, Geely's lithium-ion battery business is also a potential "battery company". Since April 2017, Geely has fully acquired the right to use all production equipment and manufacturing technology intellectual property rights of LG Nanjing Factory. Geely has gradually become one of the battery giants that absorb LG lithium-ion battery technology from a small white company in the power lithium-ion battery industry, and may provide external supplies at any time, becoming a new variable in the battery landscape.

Industry insiders point out that battery companies such as AESC, BYD, Honeycomb Energy, XPT, and Geely Hengyuan, which were born from vehicle manufacturers, are not only proficient in battery technology but also familiar with vehicle research and development needs. Putting aside their psychological side uses from vehicle manufacturers, they are actually more competitive in the market.

To sum up, the pattern of market re segmentation by local companies, Japanese and Korean companies, and automobile enterprises has basically taken shape. It can be predicted that in the new round of industrial distribution track, even if the CATL still dominates, it is difficult to dominate half of the pack of wolves.
