1. Experiment

1.1 Selection of experimental materials

The positive electrode material is a ternary material with a ratio of 1:1 between lithium iron phosphate and nickel cobalt manganese. The negative electrode is MCMB, and the electrolyte is a mixed solvent composed of EC, PC, EMC, and DEC. The electrolyte is LiPF6 as the lithium salt, and the separator is a monolayer PP25 μ M.

1.2 Preparation of porous film electrodes and composite film electrodes

Two types of batteries with positive electrode materials of lithium iron phosphate and ternary materials were produced according to the battery production process, using a square aluminum shell LP2770102 battery with the same shell, cover, and internal multipole ear winding structure. The average capacity, internal resistance, and mass of lithium iron phosphate batteries were 7.2Ah, 1.06m Ω, and 361g, respectively; The average battery capacity of the ternary material is 8.6Ah, 1.12m Ω, and 360g.

1.3 Analysis and Testing

The test conditions are: the charging and discharging voltage control range of ternary material batteries is 2.5-4.2V, 1C=7.5A, and the charging and discharging voltage control range of lithium iron phosphate material batteries is 2.0-3.65V, 1C=6.5Ah. Without special instructions, the test temperature is (25 ± 2) ℃.

2. Results and Discussion

2.1 Discharge performance test

From Figure 1 and Table 1, it can be concluded that for batteries of the same volume, using ternary materials as the positive electrode has a 19.4% higher discharge capacity, 37.5% higher specific energy, and 39.7% higher discharge specific power compared to using lithium iron phosphate materials. Due to the higher mass specific capacity and compaction density of ternary materials compared to lithium iron phosphate materials, using ternary materials for battery discharge has significant advantages.
