Recently, Ningde Times announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with Honda. Honda plans to participate in the company's capital increase and acquire a 1% stake. The two sides plan to deepen cooperation around the research and development, supply, recycling, and reuse of power lithium-ion batteries. Ningde Times will supply power lithium-ion batteries to Honda's pure electric vehicles (bEVs) processed in China, and the products are expected to be launched in the Chinese market in 2022.

From the current situation, the domestic market share of power lithium-ion batteries in Ningde Times exceeds 50%, and it continues to rank first in the world for three years, and has successfully entered high-end supply chains such as Volkswagen and BMW. In 2019, the cumulative shipment of Ningde Times power lithium-ion batteries was 32.5GWh, accounting for 27.87% of the global market.

Since the beginning of this year, the stock price of Ningde Times has continued to rise, with a cumulative increase of 79% and a total market value exceeding 430 billion yuan. China Merchants Securities pointed out that among the joint venture brands that account for 60% of national automobile sales, Ningde Times has taken the lead, occupying a large share in German, American, and Korean joint venture companies.

Dongwu Securities pointed out that with the intensive listing of overseas brand new models from 2020 to 2021, orders from Ningde Times will be released. It is expected that Ningde Times' exports are expected to reach 5-6GWh by 2020, and in 2021, it is expected to double or increase the export scale thanks to the Volkswagen MEb platform and the launch of new BMW models. In the long run, it is expected that Ningde will have a market share of over 20% in overseas markets, leading in global competitiveness.
