On August 17th, Hengdian Dongci (002056. SZ) announced that the company's investment project to produce 148 million high-performance lithium batteries per year has been completed and put into production.

The announcement shows that the investment of the project is estimated to be about 612 million yuan, including 492 million yuan of new fixed assets investment and 120 million yuan of new working capital. After the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected to achieve an annual sales revenue of 803 million yuan and a total annual profit of 110 million yuan.

Hengdian Dongci stated that the project is in line with the company's strategic deployment of "developing energy", and the total production of lithium batteries after reaching full capacity is about 2.5GWh. With the gradual release of new production capacity, it will further enhance the market competitiveness and profitability of the company's lithium battery industry, thereby enhancing the development potential of the company's lithium battery industry.

It is understood that Hengdian Dongci's 2021 midterm report will be disclosed on August 19th. As early as July 27th, the company's performance report showed that Hengdian Dongci's operating revenue in the first half of 2021 was 5.691 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 79.36%. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 546 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 58.90%.
