(1) Carbon material negative electrode material

1) Natural graphite: unstable film formation, resulting in high irreversible capacity and poor cycling performance. However, the electrochemical performance of flake graphite is relatively good.

2) Graphitized carbon material: McMB particles are spherical in shape, with a smooth surface, small specific surface area, high stacking density, and relatively high bulk energy density, resulting in less irreversible capacity loss during the first lithium insertion process. The highly ordered layered stacking structure facilitates the insertion and detachment of lithium ions from various directions, thereby solving the problems of graphite sheet swelling and collapse caused by high anisotropy in ordinary graphite materials, poor cycling performance, and inability to discharge rapidly and with high current.

3) Carbon nanotube (CNT): It can be seen as a quasi one-dimensional seamless hollow tube composed of single-layer or multi-layer graphite flake structures, with a length generally at the micrometer level and a diameter of several to hundreds of nanometers. It can be divided into two types: multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWNT) and single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT). The advantages of good conductivity, high mechanical strength, stable chemical properties, large aspect ratio, large specific surface area, and a lithium storage capacity of over 372mAh/g.
