1. Misalignment and Conicity of Separators in Cylindrical Lithium ion Batteries

Reasons for misalignment and cone-shaped separators in cylindrical lithium-ion batteries:

(1) Whether the rolling needles are concentric;

(2) The rolling needle is not perpendicular to the substrate;

(3) The last transition roller of the upper and lower diaphragms is not perpendicular to the substrate;

(4) The rollers are not parallel to each other;

(5) The incoming material of the diaphragm is unqualified.

Repair method for misaligned and tapered separators in cylindrical lithium-ion batteries:

(1) Measure the concentricity between the two axes using measuring tools such as 3.5 and 4 * 100 round turning steel with an accuracy error of 10um and a needle sleeve;

(2) After the concentricity measurement is completed, use a measuring tool and a right angle ruler to measure the verticality of the rolling needle and the large plate (ensuring at least two directions are perpendicular);

(3) Use a right angle ruler to calibrate the verticality of the last transition roller of the upper and lower diaphragms;

(If the roller is indeed not perpendicular to the substrate, shims can be added until it is perpendicular and marked; note: it is absolutely necessary not to add shims or randomly pad)

(4) First loosen the screws of the glue roller and stainless steel roller, align them parallel and perpendicular to the substrate, and then lock them tightly;

(5) Replace the incoming material of the diaphragm.
